Roseville downtown bridge

The new Roseville Downtown Bridge, located in Roseville, California, connects Vernon Street Town Square to Royer Park and features a topping slab of Quarried Stone paving with a Lithocrete “band” that meanders down the center of the bridge. Both finishes are separate by a stainless steel metal strip.
According to the architect, "The Bridge is a 30-foot wide pedestrian bridge designed with a contemporary interpretation of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) style. The bridge is anchored on the end with a grand staircase leading visitors to the new Royer Park Civic Plaza. The bridge deck celebrates the creek with an interpretation of water flow using a two-tone pattern of a seeded glass Lithocrete. The water pattern in the ground guides visitors across the bridge with shimmering blue colors.”
We had the opportunity to assist Callander Associates achieve their vision. To do so, we seeded two distinct ribbons of Lithocrete down the center of the bridge. The first ribbon was comprised of 3 shades of Cobalt blue and the second was comprised of 2 shades of Cobalt along with Amber glass. Both ribbons transition into each other and also intersect at various points. We also saw-cut and stained bands into the Quarried-Stone finish.
